SoyLites is proud to be a product sponsor for the Home of Hope orphanage for girls. We provide soy candles with Home of Hope labels on the candles and place each candle into a box, which also receives a label. Home of Hope then sells these candles on a donation basis to generate income to support their wonderful girls. The tagline on the candles reads, “The light always shines through“. So appropriate.

The Home of Hope is a voluntary association, registered as a non-profit organisation providing child protection services registered with the department of social development, as well as a public benefit organisation established in August 2005.

"Soylites has kindly sponsored about 800 candles over the last two years. Home of hope sells the Candles to visitors and volunteers have sold them to friends and family. Candles were also bought as Gifts at a Woman's Forum held at the Gordon Institute of Business Science where Mam Khanyi, director of Home of Hope, was a guest speaker.

The candles open up a powerful conversation about the work of the Home and people give extra donations towards the home as a result!
