Why do we use Cinnamon in our Entice Soy Candle?

What is Cinnamon?

Cinnamon is a spice, extracted from the bark and leaves of trees from the Cinnamomum family, tropical evergreens that grow as high as 45 metres tall and found in the Caribbean, South America and Southeast Asia!

The red-brown oil has been used as a medicine in traditional Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine for centuries, with many amazing remedial benefits for heartburn, indigestion and nausea. It’s known to be high in antioxidants, is antimicrobial and has anti-inflammatory properties.

In aromatherapy cinnamon is used to diminish depression symptoms, faintness, exhaustion, to stimulate the libido and strengthen immunity. Cosmetically or topically it is also used to nourish dry skin and to alleviate muscle and joint aches.

So why do we include Cinnamon in our Entice Soy Candles?

Cinnamon and Clove activate beautifully together as they share a deliciously warming effect, complementing perfectly for  winter. For Entice we blended them with the citrus oils of Naartjie and Grapefruit, which add a sense of contentment and relaxation, uplifting and brightening your mood, while stimulating and warming your home.

Other oils that blend well with Cinnamon:

  • Cardamom
  • Carrot Seed
  • Lavender
  • Frankincense
  • Grapefruit
  • Jasmine
  • Mandarin
  • Orange
  • Lemon
  • Palo Santo
  • Rosemary
  • Rose Otto
  • Tangerine
  • Tea-tree
  • Yang Yang
